AG: I've noticed that my Firefox sessions (at work on Windows, at home on my beloved Macs) now get pop-ups. Not as much as that wretched Explorer, of course, but I am getting some. The first was The University of Pheonix, which did intice me to enroll in its Comparative French Literature PhD program (where I met a girl taking electives for her Masters in Meta Physics at Devrie). What gives?

P: Most newer pop-ups are Flash based. Firefox anti-popup scripts, by default are not capable of blocking these. The beautiful aspect of Open Source is that you can modify the code to suit your needs.
I recommend Firefox hacks. Additionally, you can install a local proxy on your OSX box. I currently use Privoxy. It works great on my Linux box. They also have ported it to OSX too.
