This is in reply to your "what is a Divah" blog. Women and men will always think on different levels due to one important factor. Women are and have been very spoiled in the dating scene. If you look back to the age when girls and boys started liking each other, you'll see where it started. The girls would go and put on something tight fitting and sit on a porch. Or if the competition is a little too stiff, they take a walk. Boys honk horns or walk up to them. School dances are their first formal meet and greet. Again the girls only job is to look cute and sit. Boys come across the room and make contact. The wrong phrase, comment or choice of female are ingredients for disaster. Moving forward to clubs, bars and other social gatherings, men are the aggressors. It is the man who has to approach and say the right thing. Dating, online dating, church functions, you get the point. No matter the forum, men have to be the ones taking the risk of being rejected. We get used to it. Women never do. If that female you tried to get to know would've had more understanding and contributed to the conversation, things would go alot smoother. But she runs the risk of being rejected by you. And a note on insecurity. if you didn't act like she was the greatest thing since sliced bread, she can get upset over that too. That's why they get mad if you look at another woman. I agree wholeheartedly about paying for dates. Both should share in expenses. Women don't like to because they have been spoiled either personally or by some fantasized expectation. All in all, if women don't start contributing to the dating aspect, they will either need to stick to themselves or be alone. Especially my "sistahs".
